sun and fun air show

​ On Saturday, April 6th 2019, approximately 30 cadets from West Orange High School Air Force JROTC attended Lakeland's inspiring Sun n' Fun Airshow. FL-802 personally invited eighth graders interested in becoming apart of the unit. Upon arrival at the school, everyone was split into separate groups with at least one chaperone. After a 45 minute bus ride, each group parted their separate ways, they all got to see different types of helicopters, planes, and vehicles such as Black Hawk’s, a B-17, and F-35’s. They had the opportunity to experience thrilling simulations, showing what it would be like to be flying high in the air. Participants made new friends and exciting memories. We hope to have many more people attending in the years to come!
