April 5th 2019, cadets were excused from their fifth, sixth, and seventh periods for the annual field day. Cadets were put through challenges that required mental and physical strength. Each squadron had to work together and trust each other to to get through each task. The exercises consisted of physical training, sports, team bonding, and a drill sequence that was put together by each class to be marched on field day. Each squadron came together and chose their shirt and flag design, chants, and the team name. After the seniors that put together field day calculated all the scores from each squadron, they came to the conclusion that Charlie squadron, or third period, had done the best overall. Golf squadron, or seventh period, won the spirit award, which means that they always had their heads up and fought to the very last second. In the years to come, our next seniors will get the opportunity to plan the field day. Can’t wait to see what they come up with!
